I spent my entire life shaming myself for having “bad feelings”, just to grow up to learn there is no such thing. Over the years I’ve learned to embrace more than just sad, mad, happy, because we as humans have feelings so much more complex than that. Being human is about embracing your emotions, loving your own complexities, accepting yourself as you come, and remembering that we’re all just humans after all.
